It’s a new day and a new year. May it be one filled with promise and possibility for all.
Thanks to all of you for your kind support of my music. With my new studio and equipment, I’m looking forward to creating more music in the coming months as I expand my creative palette. That will be followed by the joy of bringing it to you live. So please keep in touch via the newsletter, and my website for the latest on concerts and new music. (My first concerts of the year are later this month!)
The new year is often a time for making resolutions. Pam and I have decided that ours is to simply remind ourselves to “Find the Good” and to “Be the Good” in the every day. There is so much joy to be found in the simplest things that surround us, but the busyness of life can cause us to overlook it. Pam gets excited when the car starts on the first try on a cold winter’s day here in Minnesota! You see it’s finding the joy in the little things of life that we take for granted.
Whenever something good happens, no matter how big or small – Write it down. Then put it in a big jar. Over time, you’ll be amazed to see how full the jar becomes. You might even need a second jar! Read it when you are feeling low or save it to read them all at the year’s end.
Lastly, “Be the Good”. The simplest of actions, like a smile, a kind word or a good deed, can often turn someone else’s gray day into a brighter one. It’s sure to brighten your own day, too. (That’s an added bonus!)
So here’s to 2017 – may we all find (and be) the good.
Happy New Year!
